Giving Back

Maternal death due to hemorrhage is not just a problem in the United States, it is a global problem. Hemorrhage is the leading cause of all maternal deaths in developing countries. In regions with extremely limited resources, such as Sub-Saharan Africa, mothers have a 1 in 45 chance of dying during pregnancy and childbirth.

We Can Make A Difference

In developing countries the lack of blood products, surgical equipment and other hospital resources puts mothers at risk during childbirth. In these settings it is absolutely critical for mothers to have every advantage they can get. A delayed or missed diagnosis of a postpartum hemorrhage all but ensures a fatal outcome.

Perspective Medical is passionate and determined to help fight against postpartum hemorrhage in all regions of the world, especially where it is needed the most. Therefore, we have partnered up with One World Health, a charitable organization with outreach to regions with the highest maternal mortality rates, such as Sub-Saharan Africa and Central America. As we grow we will be donating our Hemorrhage View C-section drapes to One World Health who will then distribute them to areas of need. We are also giving our customers the opportunity to buy and donate drapes at discounted prices.

A non-profit based in Charleston, S.C., OneWorld Health has worked side by side with communities in need for 12 years to better understand the challenges of access and quality in healthcare across the globe—and help ensure that your birth country does not determine your ability to access basic healthcare. We build and operate inpatient and outpatient care facilities, providing high-quality, affordable medical care to impoverished communities. From inception, each project is carefully planned to ensure that every dollar invested will create a long-term impact in the community. Since our founding, we’ve treated more than 600,000 patients in three countries with clinical services ranging from primary care to emergency surgery.

Mission: to provide quality, affordable healthcare to those in need.

Vision: to see communities empowered to bring about long-term improvements in
health and quality of life.
